Rich Rijnders was team lead designing, coding, and implementing SOAP and REST API\u2019s providing custom interfaces between Carter\u2019s Rewarding Moments\u00ae loyalty program and Tibco backend managing points and rewards. The API\u2019s provide full access for over 2000 POS systems to verify and redeem customer rewards and discounts. Another API application allows access for Carter\u2019s, OshKosh, and Skip Hop eCommerce \/ web platforms to provide customers with real-time online inquiry into their reward account information and award and redemption histories.<\/p>\n

Project Nitro was the cornerstone of TBC’s modernization and rebranding of all nationwide TireKingdom\u00ae, NTB\u00ae, and Merchant’s Tire\u00ae service centers. The project encompassed the complete redesign and development of the point of sale systems. A modern, customer centric touch-screen front-end interface is serviced by an API based SOA architecture to facilitate all actions to respective back-end ERP, WMS, OMS, and financial systems such as SAP\u00ae, JD Edward’s\u00ae, and Bank of America\u00ae.\u00a0The application and API\u2019s support over 1200 retail outlets, 50 wholesale warehouses, and the Enterprise E-Commerce Web Application. The applications were developed using multiple technologies including WebSphere Message Broker (WMB\/IIB), IBM DataPower, MQ, and IBM eXtreme Scale.<\/p>\n
In support of the developed integration, Rich also provided 24\/7 administration of Data Power and Message Broker appliances, monitored MQ Queue utilizations, and mentored incoming support staff to eventually take on the support roles for the new technologies.<\/p>\n
